Christmas 2007 - Colorado Springs, Colorado

As noted in our "Christmas 2007 - Nampa, Idaho" posting, this Christmas we were able to visit both Jentrey's family in Idaho and Dave's family in Colorado.

After returning home from a week long trip to Idaho (four days of it just traveling - the kids were great travelers as always), we returned home to Denver and then drove down to Colorado Springs (about 1 hour South of Denver) to celebrate Christmas with the Potter Clan.

This year, the Potter Clan present consisted of Grandma and Grandpa Potter (we hope they were there since we did hold Christmas at their house...would be kinda fun to kick them out though and take over the place without them there; they'd probably argue that we still took over the place :) ) Grandma and Grandpa Rottenberry, Heather (and herself...still waiting for her to bring home some cute executive with long-term intentions; we love you Heather !!), Chad and Dawn and family, and Dave and Jentrey and family (a.k.a. Us). I actually think this was the first time that Grandma Rottenberry was finally able to meet Adelie...we tried during Thanksgiving but Grandma came down with a bad cold and had to stay home while Paul (Grandpa) came solo and was able to meet Adelie.

Here are some pictures of the day...

Christmas 2007 - Nampa, Idaho

We were able to spend Christmas with both of our families this year...with Jentrey's family in Nampa, ID and with Dave's family in Colorado Springs, CO.

The trip to Idaho was long, we stopped and stayed in Provo, UT to break up the trip there and back, staying with Chris and Sarah Elwell and family both ways (thank you Chris and Sarah). Spent about three days with Jentrey's family in Nampa (just west of Boise) before turning back around again to come home. The weather was not too bad, had some snow storms here and there, but we were able to use the brand new pjamas that Grandma Pryor gave us (as is the custom for Pryor Christmas). Unfortunately, we did not use our camera that much, so not too many pics to add here...

Happy Birthday Adelie - November 2007

Adelie Renaye celebrated her 1st birthday on November 28th. Grandma and Grandpa Potter were gracious enough to have us all over for Thanksgiving and we celebrated Adelie's b-day at the same time.

Jentrey made her a butterfly cake out of purple and pink cupcakes. Adelie was not sure what to think of the cupcakes, but after forcing a small bite into her mouth, she couldn't get enough!
After cake and ice cream, Grandma and Grandpa Potter entertained us with some Karaoke. G&G did the singing and Adelie did the dancing...she seemed to get more and more into it the more out of tune they sang...weird phenomenon to watch :) We all enjoy Karaoke at G&G's, it's one of our favorite things to do when we visit.

Grandpa Rottenberry was able to make the trip up from central Colorado Springs (Grandma Rottenberry was unable to attend as she came down with a cold over the week). This was the first time that Great Grandpa and Adelie met, and she took pretty well to him...Paul (Grandpa) has always been a good looking man, so maybe that's why she took to him so fast :)
Here are a few pics of the day....

Later that week, a box came for Adelie from Nampa, Idaho. Wonder who that could be from....Grandma and Grandpa Pryor of course ! Adelie was slightly interested in the presents, but more interested in the packaging peanuts that came in the box (don't worry G&G Pryor, she did end up loving everything you sent, especially the glow worm and baby doll) . She picked up a few, had fun playing with them, and then when she realized that there was a whole box of them, she insisted on getting in the box. She's a funny one!

Happy Birthday Corbin and Coleton - November 2008

Corbin and Coleton celebrated their 5th birthday on November 13th

We invited Chad and Dawn and family (cousins Aden and Tyler) and Grandma and Grandpa Potter to celebrate the big day.

We tried individualizing this birthday for them by getting separate cakes for them...it seemed to go over well.

As always, cousins and sister Adelie were there to help open gifts and try out the new toys. It was a fun time.....thanks all

Just a few days before the big party, the boys got a box in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Pryor....they were excited to see the activity games and connectible animals and made some pretty silly faces to show their excitement
